Infrared (IR) Transmitter Module

An infrared (IR) transmitter module is a device that is used to transmit infrared signals. It is often used in remote control systems, such as those used to control TVs, DVD players, and other electronic devices. The IR transmitter module typically consists of an IR LED (light emitting diode) and a driver circuit that is used to control the intensity of the IR light emitted by the LED. When the driver circuit is activated, it causes the IR LED to emit a beam of IR light that can be received by an IR receiver, such as the one found in a TV remote control. The IR transmitter module is often used in conjunction with an IR receiver module to create a complete IR communication system.   This is a great IR module for Arduino that allows you to build your own IR transmitters. All the circuitry is provided and no soldering is needed. Simply plug it in your Arduino and start sended IR waves!
