GLI XL1580 Channel Studio Subwoofer

Eventually I ended up with three of these in functional shape (for my front soundstage at home.)The receiving of them was a bit of a nightmare and I am not grading that but the speakers themselves if they survive the shipping are shockingly good. The recommended power ranges from 10 watts to 400, they have inputs for speaker wire, banana clips, AND dual 1/4″ phono jacks. Sound wise, when configured and run from a decent home theater amp (125 wpc officially) there is absolutely no distortion at any volume (including levels that allow the sound to be heard on the other side of the lawn outside the installed room), and they do a very respectful job of covering the low end. If Amazon ever carries these again I’d recommend them for a very affordable movie/concert experience at home or in small to mid sized clubs with proper amps (just keep in mind the price you paid, they are truly nothing fancy but are very functional.) My set should keep me happy in my theater room until I upgrade to magneplanars and a silly level 18″ sub or two…
